Mr. Sepehr Dorostkar, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and am currently pursuing Business Administration studies at York University. With over 14 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to both adults and young learners, I specialize in IELTS and PTE exam preparation. I’m known for creating engaging, student-centered lessons using gamification techniques and interactive activities that make learning enjoyable and effective. My approach blends linguistic expertise, motivational strategies, and real-world practice to help learners achieve their goals confidently—both in person and online.

Ms. Irene T. Ho is a passionate and dedicated educator with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from York University. Her academic background not only equips her with a strong understanding of cognitive development and learning strategies but also enhances her ability to connect with students on an individual level.  

While pursuing her degree, Irene discovered her love for teaching by working as a high school tutor, helping students excel in English and Mathematics. Her experience during this time allowed her to develop personalized teaching approaches, ensuring each student receives the support they need to achieve academic success.

Ms. Chloe Tan is a dedicated Mental Health Studies (Co-op) student at the University of Toronto Scarborough, minoring in Biomedical Ethics, with a keen interest in behavioral and developmental psychology. Her academic training gives her a unique perspective on how students learn, allowing her to tailor evidence-based strategies to individual needs.

I’m a tutor with a passion for helping children, any age, boost their skills and confidence in reading, writing, communication, and grammar. I am currently finishing my second year of university with a major in Psychology, therefore, I specialize in essay writing and always look for opportunities to strengthen my own literacy skills. I’ve worked with many young learners and can confidently say that there is no better feeling than when a child acknowledges their success and appreciates their own hard work. When tutoring, I always put the student first. Understanding what kind of head space the student is in when entering the classroom allows me to better understand how to present the material for the day and in what quantity. Within each session, I will make it my priority to efficiently teach new literacy skills, as well as answer any questions the students will have effectively whilst maintaining a positive learning environment. My name is Viththaki Uthayakumar and I am also known as Vicky for short. I have pursued and completed my undergraduate studies in Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Conflict Studies and Human Rights at the University of Ottawa and I have completed my Master of Arts in Political Science at York University. My background involves in working with children and youth in the Education System along with teaching, mentoring, advocating, and policy work. Hi, I’m Joseph Thomas, a Mechanical Engineering student at York University with a strong foundation in mathematics and a deep interest in education. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve consistently excelled in courses such as calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. More importantly, I’ve developed a passion for helping others understand these subjects in a way that’s clear, structured, and encouraging.

As someone who once had to relearn math from the basics, I understand the challenges students face and the importance of having the right support system. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with extensive experience in teaching, mentoring, and community involvement. As a swimming instructor, I have worked at camps and provided weekly lessons for children, fostering their skills and confidence in the water.

My commitment to education extends beyond formal settings; I actively tutor students in Math & French, and have successfully guided students to level 6 in piano. My passion for music and teaching has allowed me to help him develop a solid foundation in both academics and the arts.
